Anthony Deveaux
Senior Vice President
Anthony Deveaux and his family (including three sisters and two brothers) have lived their lives in the United States, but their roots run beyond these shores. “Most of my family is French and Bahamian,” adds Anthony. “My inspiration is to secure my family’s name in history. My mentor told me to not only rise above mediocrity but to soar above it!” The message Anthony uses as a guideline in life is to “go hard at everything you desire in order to achieve in this life.”
Anthony has been with 5LINX® for the past 16 months. “I have been in network marketing off-and-on for 15 years (since I was 16),” says Anthony. “5LINX® is different because for the first time I have found a company that puts representatives first!” The leadership of 5LINX® has experience working in the field and that is what enables them to relate effectively to the representatives.
“I have found that it is sacrifice which allows you to have everything you want. Learning that discipline now will allow you to accomplish your dreams.” There were times Anthony thought about giving up because of the pain. “It’s human nature to resist pain,” says Anthony. “I had to understand that pain is good. It reminds you to appreciate pleasure, when you’re able to receive it. In other words, no pain, no gain!”
“I crashed my car on the way to do a PBR. It was a head-on collision with a drunk driver,” recalls Anthony. “My son and I were in the car and I would have been justified in going home and complaining about things.” Instead he went to the PBR right from the crash site. It was at that time Anthony knew nothing was going to stop him from going to the top of the company.
We are reminded by Anthony to ignore our emotions. “This business can take you on an emotional rollercoaster ride. Remember your reasons why you began your business and jealously guard them because there will be people who will attempt to discourage you.”
Anthony was promoted to the position of Senior Vice President at the San Antonio National Event.
