Open Your Heart — Your Mind Will Follow
Enthusiasm comes from the Greek words — enthos-theos, meaning spirit within. Nothing great has been achieved without enthusiasm.
In November of 2004, Bernard and Annette were invited onto a conference call that was sponsored by William Faucette, John O. Jones, and Lee Lemons, to discuss this fantastic opportunity known as 5LINX. At that point in time, they had never heard of this five year old company, know as 5LINX. During this time in 5LINX development, there was no LINX2Health Medial Savings Card, VoIP was a future promise, and there were no weekly hotel meetings in Maryland (where we live), or any nearby state.
“We did not let this discourage us. We saw this as an opportunity instead of a handicap. By them becoming the first National Directors in the state of Maryland and launching the first weekly meeting in that state, Bernard and Annette McCargo of Beltsville, Maryland have been very instrumental in paving the way for Maryland to become the top producing state in 5LINX.”
“Our success can be directly contributed to Showing The Plan (STP). Annette and I have always believed that we could help someone who is ‘Broke,’ but we cannot help someone who is ‘POOR,’ which stands for Pass-Over-Opportunity-Regularly. In our industry, you’ve seen the numbers, the annual sales, the forty year track record, the millions of people involved. This business concept and the methods used make perfect sense. It’s an excellent example of Free Enterprise. Every type of media now praises its success as a proven method of building a secure financial future. Why then will some of the people you approach tell you this ‘thing’ will never work? Why do some still think that it’s illegal? Or a scam?”
“Ultimately, many of those people know that this business works. The doubt they have is often in themselves and in their ability to be successful. They cover up their fear by saying this business isn’t for them. They might add that they don’t know anyone who’d be interested in something like this. Or, they knew a friend of a friend’s second cousin’s brother-in-law’s daughter’s teacher who got stuck with a basement full of stuff and lost everything. (I’ve followed up on some of these stories and not one of them proved to be true. They were just rumors.) The fact is some people will go to any length to come up with an excuse (a thin shell of truth stuffed with a lie) to avoid facing their fears and doing it anyway.”
“When you’ve done all you can to help somebody understand the potential and they still don’t want to get ‘in,’ do yourself a favor and move-on. Don’t even attempt to disprove rumor and innuendo. It’s not worth it. That’s usually not what’s keeping them from getting “in.” They probably felt that they had to come up with something negative to justify their refusal. And maybe they didn’t have enough courage to say “no.”
“The truth is, no matter what their reasons or excuses may be, everyone has the right to make their own choices. They then get to live with the results of those choices like all of us do. The quality of your life is based largely on the quality of your choices.” Bernard and Annette would like to thank everyone who has impacted their journey to SVP by making the right choices.
To their first three business partners: “Carla Scott, Darren McKinley, and Annette McCargo, thanks for being part of the foundation of Circle Up Team.”
To their three National Directors that got them to SVP: “Michael Irvin, Hugo Barreto, and Annette McCargo, I appreciate your leadership. Especially to Michael Irvin for building the largest 5LINX organization in Hawaii with support from Warren Harris and Tim Batchler. Special thanks to Hugo Barreto for delivering to Circle Up Team, the largest Spanish Speaking organization in 5LINX, with support from Teresa Ustares and Sonia Molla. In addition we’d like to thank Prince Baduh, who provided the group with the most diverse group from all parts of Africa as well as all of the Circle Up Team members who are dedicated to building their 5LINX Business to the next level.”
To their Up-lines: “We want to thank SVP Lee Lemons, SVP John O. Jones, and SVP William Faucette, Jr.”
“We especially want to thank William Faucette, Jr. for being the first in all of 5LINX to come to Maryland to help Circle Up Team build their 5LINX Business.”
“And LAST but LEAST, a guy whom I have worked closely with who is not in our up-line or down-line, but our side-line, SVP Ron ‘the Chief’ Williams.”
