Success Stories
Shadiah Soliman
Senior Vice President
I started in the industry 7 ½ years ago, with no experience in business or telecommunications. I worked fullti-me as a 6th grade school teacher and part-time as a waitress on the weekends to pay off my student loans. Working 60 hours a week was not what I expected to do coming out of college with a master’s degree. When taking a look at this industry, it was a no-brainer to position myself to get paid on services that people have to pay anyways! My vision when getting started in the industry was small, I was looking to just supplement my teaching career with an extra $1,000 a month, maybe retire 10 years early and be able to help my family more. I wasn’t looking to become a top leader, and didn’t think I ever could.
I saw my mentors, Vince Bovenzi and Andre Maronian, retire at 25 years old from corporate America, which made me realize that they had to be doing something right. So I grabbed on to them and didn’t look back. I figured I put six years into college, why not have long-term vision here as well. Within two years, part-time, I was doubling what I was making full-time as a school teacher, so I chose to walk away from teaching when I was 26 years old. I’m 32 now and have complete freedom! I had ups and down, but just never quit. I was with a former company for 6 ½ years and was very successful, but not as successful as I have been with 5LINX. I joined forces with 5LINX on Jan 4th, 2007 and hit SVP in exactly one year. I couldn’t deny the positioning of 5LINX with digital phone and video phones. I give credit for my success to the support of my mentors, my team, my family and this amazing company. The co-founders of 5LINX give back so much to the reps, they put us first in every way, that’s why I truly believe any one can succeed here!
Besides the financial rewards that 5LINX has afforded me, more importantly, I truly appreciate the personal growth I’ve gone through and the freedom I’m able to experience. What drives me every day is my family and helping impact people in a positive way. The most satisfying feeling is showing people how to believe in themselves, the way Vince showed me how to believe in myself.
